About this work
The film opens with a botched jewellery-store robbery and then goes back over the days that led to it. Hossein, a pizza delivery man in Tehran, sees a receipt for a hugely expensive necklace in a purse his friend has snatched, is humiliated at an uptown jeweller's, and on his night deliveries to wealthy homes sees the class divide at close range until he is driven to the robbery the film began with. The screenplay is by Abbas Kiarostami; the film won the Un Certain Regard Jury Prize at Cannes in 2003 and was never released in Iranian cinemas.
فیلم با سرقتی ناکام در یک جواهرفروشی آغاز می‌شود و سپس به روزه‌ای پیش از آن برمی‌گردد. حسین، پیک موتوری یک پیتزافروشی در تهران، در کیفی که دوستش قاپیده رسید گردنبندی بسیار گران را می‌بیند، در جواهرفروشی بالای شهر تحقیر می‌شود و شب‌ها هنگام رساندن سفارش‌ها به خانه‌های ثروتمندان، فاصلهٔ طبقاتی را از نزدیک تجربه می‌کند تا جایی که کارش به همان سرقت می‌کشد. فیلم‌نامه را عباس کیارستمی نوشته است؛ فیلم در جشنوارهٔ کن ۲۰۰۳ جایزهٔ هیئت داوران بخش «نوعی نگاه» را گرفت و هرگز در سینماه‌ای ایران اکران نشد.
