About this work
Tango: Zero Hour is an album by the Argentine composer and bandoneon player Astor Piazzolla, founder of nuevo tango, with his quintet, recorded in May 1986 at Sound Ideas in New York with producer Kip Hanrahan and released by American Clavé that September. Its seven Piazzolla pieces, among them "Tanguedia III", "Milonga del ángel" and "Concierto para quinteto", blend tango with classical forms and jazz colour. The players are Piazzolla (bandoneon), Fernando Suárez Paz (violin), Pablo Ziegler (piano), Horacio Malvicino (guitar) and Héctor Console (bass). Piazzolla himself considered it the best album of his career.
«تانگو: ساعت صفر» آلبومی از آستور پیاتزولا، آهنگساز و نوازندهٔ باندونئون آرژانتینی و بنیان‌گذار «تانگوی نو»، با کوئینتت اوست که در مه ۱۹۸۶ در استودیوی Sound Ideas نیویورک به تهیه‌کنندگی کیپ هانراهان ضبط و در سپتامبر همان سال از سوی برچسب American Clavé منتشر شد. هفت قطعهٔ آلبوم، همه ساختهٔ پیاتزولا، از جمله «تانگدیای ۳»، «می‌لونگای فرشته» و «کنسرتو برای کوئینتت»، تانگو را با فرم‌های موسیقی کلاسیک و رنگ جاز درمی‌آمیزد. نوازندگان عبارت‌اند از پیاتزولا (باندونئون)، فرناندو سوارس پاس (ویولن)، پابلو سیگلر (پیانو)، اوراسیو مالویچینو (گیتار) و اکتور کونسوله (کنترباس). پیاتزولا خود این آلبوم را بهترین کار عمرش می‌دانست.
