این مقاله به بررسی رابطهٔ متنی میان یک ستون روزنامهای نوشتهٔ ماشادو دو آسیس و حماسهٔ ایلیاد هومر میپردازد. نویسنده نشان میدهد که ماشادو دو آسیس در مقالهٔ روز ۱۸ مارس ۱۸۹۴ در ستون «آ سمانا» روزنامهٔ گازتا دو نوتیسیاس، حماسهٔ هومر را در نوشتهٔ خود بازنویسی کرده است. چارچوب نظری این پژوهش بر مفهوم بینامتنیت جولیا کریستوا، برگرفته از اندیشههای باختین، استوار است.
The aim of this study is to show the presence of classical epic, Homer's Iliad, in the chronicle of Machado de Assis, analyzing the intertextual dialogue between Machado de Assis and the epic poem by Homer, considering the concept of intertextuality developed by Julia Kristeva from philosophical conceptions of Bakhtin.
