About this work
Mexico City, the 1990s. At his eleventh birthday party, where guests come dressed as the other gender, Bruno discovers new feelings for his best friend Vladimir, and that same night his father, a dreamy illustrator, learns his blood test is abnormal: he has HIV. Bruno's mother tries to bridge father and son and prepare for a future that may not include her husband. The director weaves this childhood memory with documentary interviews with his real family.
