About this work
Yu-jie, a 22-year-old Taipei student, is hit by a car while riding his scooter and learns he will never walk again. He adapts to life in a wheelchair with surprising calm, but his unemployed father and his mother, whose marriage was already shaky, and his overlooked teenage sister struggle far more. The wealthy elderly driver, wracked by guilt, signs his house over to Yu-jie. The film follows the consequences across eleven years.
