About this work

In Esfand 1366 (early 1988) a Tehran family moves into a new flat just as Iraq's missile attacks on the city begin; the everyday quarrels of a mother and her children sharpen under the sirens and explosions. On a second level, the writer and his wife (voiced by Yaghoubi and his own wife) interrupt the action, argue over their memories of those days and rewrite scenes. The play is about remembering and forgetting the war, and leaves the characters' fate to the audience's imagination.
