About this work

A man and a woman sit at opposite ends of a four-metre table, facing the audience. He keeps asking whether she is afraid when she dances on glasses, and the more he presses, the more she withdraws. The piece is about a break-up and the end of a young love and the inability to bridge distance: a tension between giving everything and wanting control, between refusing and wanting freedom. Created in Iran in 2001, it toured festivals worldwide for four years.
