About this work
Award-winning illustrator Bryan Collier began creating art at the age of 15. Using his signature style, a vibrant mix of watercolor and collage, he brings stories to life. He's already lent his talents to such books as Visiting Langston, Rosa, and his own book, Uptown. Reading Rockets sat down with the artist for an exclusive interview. برایان کالیر، طراح برنده جایزه‌ای است که از سن پانزده سالگی به ساخت هنر پرداخت. او از سبک منحصربه‌فردی که ترکیبی از آبرنگ و کلاژ است برای زندگی بخشیدن به داستان‌ها استفاده می‌کند. کالیر در کتاب‌هایی نظیر «بازدید از لنگستون»، «روزا» و کتاب شخصی خود «آپتاون» نقش داشته است. این منبع شامل مصاحبه‌ای انحصاری، بیوگرافی کوتاه و فهرستی از کتاب‌های کودکانه‌ای است که کالیر برای آن‌ها کار کرده است.
