Examination of Transnationality in the Preambles of National Epics

This is a scholarly article or essay examining intertextuality in literary prologues, particularly those of epic texts. The work traces the theoretical foundations of intertextuality from Mikhail Bakhtin's concept of dialogic texts through later theorists including Julia Kristeva, Laurent Jenny, Michael Riffaterre, Roland Barthes and Gérard Genette. It focuses especially on Genette's theory of transtextuality, which explores how literary texts influence and are influenced by one another. The article employs descriptive-analytical methods and library sources to examine epic prologues as a site where such textual relationships are observable.
