About this work
A revival of Leiser and Caurier's restrained 2003 Covent Garden staging, conducted by Antonio Pappano, with Ermonela Jaho as the young geisha Cio-Cio-San. Critics praised Jaho's portrayal and the close partnership between singer and conductor. OperaVision streams it free of charge (window until 31 January 2027).
