About this work
Kamancheh player Kayhan Kalhor joins Ali Akbar Moradi, the leading master of the sacred Kurdish tanbur from Kermanshah, in a set of connected improvisations. Pairing the bowed fiddle with the long-necked lute was unusual, and the album draws on both Kurdish tanbur modes and Persian classical practice.
کیهان کلهر، نوازندهٔ کمانچه، در این آلبوم با علی‌اکبر مرادی، استاد برجستهٔ تنبور آیینی کردی از کرمانشاه، مجموعه‌ای از بداهه‌نوازی‌های پیوسته اجرا می‌کند. همنوازی کمانچه و تنبور کم‌سابقه بود و این اثر از مقام‌های تنبور کردی و شیوهٔ موسیقی دستگاهی هر دو بهره می‌گیرد.
