About this work
Morghé Afsaneh (The Mythic Bird) is a poem by the Iranian poet Sohrab Sepehri, collected in Hasht Ketab (Eight Books). The poem opens with a window opening on the border between night and day, from which the mythic bird flies out. The surviving source text is too brief to support a fuller account of the poem's content or themes.
