About this work
In Spain in 1944, Ofelia, who has moved with her mother to her brutal stepfather's military outpost, meets a faun in an ancient labyrinth who sets her three tasks. Del Toro interweaves fairy tale with the grim aftermath of the Spanish Civil War. (Contains violent scenes.)
