Chok Literary Monthly is Iran's first electronic PDF periodical dedicated to fiction, edited by Mehdi Rezaei and first published in September 2010, continuing to the present. The journal operates independently of any particular organization and emerged from the efforts of young literature enthusiasts committed to advancing Persian literary culture in the field of fiction. Its contents include essays, reviews, discussions of Iranian and translated fiction, psychoanalytic literary criticism, and introductions to novels.
