هفت پیکر نیزامی یکی از متون جاذب ادبیات کلاسیک فارسی است. این اثر روایت‌های متعددی دارد و عناصر درامی بسیاری در آن یافت می‌شود. یکی از این عناصر، شخصیت‌پردازی جذابش است. در این متن، شخصیت‌پردازی به شیوه‌ای درامی انجام می‌پذیرد و به بسیاری از رمان‌های معاصر نزدیک است، چرا که نویسنده علاوه بر اشاره مستقیم به ویژگی‌های بیرونی شخصیت‌ها و رفتار آنان، ابعاد مختلف شخصیت‌شان را با ارتباطی منطقی و محاسبه‌شده به نمایش می‌گذارد.
