A illuminated manuscript from the Istanbul University collection containing calligraphy and decorative arts from Iran and India. The work features multiple scripts including thuluth, naskh, nasta'liq, raqa', broken nasta'liq, and muhaqqaq, alongside various book arts such as gilding, line work, lacquered binding, and gold embellishment. It represents the sophisticated tradition of Persian and Indian manuscript production, combining writing with ornamental techniques that define classical Islamic book culture.
