Persian for Fourth Year High Schools [Year 1338]

This is an official statement or preface concerning the reform of secondary school textbook publishing in Iran. It describes how years of poor publishing conditions and disorganized practices had left educators, school administrators, teachers, students and parents dissatisfied from various angles. The text announces that following the directives of a culture-promoting ruler, efforts to improve textbook conditions are now moving toward implementation, fulfilling a long-held aspiration among Iranian cultural figures for proper methods of publishing secondary school materials. A joint-stock company for publishing school textbooks is being established to select and distribute the best available textbooks on a wide scale with proper and rapid distribution.
