This is an essay or article about sacred plants in human history and culture. It examines how peoples and nations have granted sacred and mythological status to natural elements, especially plants, for religious and spiritual reasons. The work traces how sacred plants entered the culture and art of peoples, particularly in Persian tradition, where flowers, fruits, and symbolic trees appeared in Iranian decorative designs from ancient times and continued through Islamic art. It focuses on ancient Iran as the birthplace of many plants, with particular attention to the oak tree as an ancient heritage intertwined with the material and spiritual life of Zagros inhabitants, including the peoples of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, where it has become a symbol of their land.
