Chronicles from Kashmir is a site-adaptive 24-hour theatrical performance developed between 2013 and 2018 by Ensemble Kashmir Theatre Akademi and Nandita Dinesh. Using a durational promenade format, the work immerses audiences in multiple perspectives on life in Kashmir through interconnected scenes. These include a wedding disrupted by curfew, schoolboys affected by policing, and soldiers confronting their circumstances. The performance explores the complex realities of Kashmir by staging intimate moments that reflect the lived experiences of its inhabitants across a full day of theatrical experience.
