About this work
A quatrain attributed to Khayyam, from Esmail Yekani's edition Nadere-ye Ayyam Hakim Omar Khayyam (quatrain 278). The jar tells the one whose lip is on its rim that its own lip was once like his, and that his lips too will one day become like this.
رباعی‌ای منسوب به خیام از کتاب «نادرهٔ ایام حکیم عمر خیام» به تصحیح اسماعیل یکانی (رباعی ۲۷۸). کوزه به کسی که لب بر لبش گذاشته می‌گوید لب من هم روزی چون لب تو بود، و لب تو نیز روزی چنین خواهد شد.
