رمانی علمی تخیلی نوشتهٔ اچ جی ولز که نخستین بار در سال ۱۸۹۸ منتشر شد. راوی داستان در ساری و لندن از فرود آمدن مریخی‌ها در جنوب انگلستان و روزه‌ای پس از آن می‌گوید. این اثر از نخستین داستان‌ها دربارهٔ رویارویی انسان با ساکنان سیاره‌ای دیگر است و بارها برای رادیو و سینما و صحنه بازآفرینی شده است.
The War of the Worlds is a science fiction novel by H. G. Wells, first published in 1898. Its narrator, moving between Surrey and London, recounts the arrival of Martians in southern England and the days that follow. It is among the earliest stories of an encounter between humankind and beings from another planet, and it has been adapted many times for radio, film and the stage.
