این مقاله به بررسی میراث پیانویی آهنگساز اُ. نگروتا می‌پردازد و آن را از منظر کاربرد در آموزش موسیقی در جمهوری مولداوی تحلیل می‌کند. نویسنده آثار مختلف این آهنگساز برای پیانو را معرفی می‌کند، از جمله مجموعه‌های منتشرشده‌ای چون «خلق‌وخوی بهاری» و «آهنگ‌های بی‌کلام»، قطعاتی مانند «اسکرتسو» و «بداهه‌نوازی»، دوئت‌های پیانو، و نیز تنظیم‌های شخصی او از آثار مشهور دیگران، از جمله «نوکتورن» برگرفته از کنسرتو برای ترومپت.
