ملک الشعرا بهار (تصنیف)/عمر حقیقت به سر شد

A tasnif (song) by Malek ol-Shoara Bahar. The poet says that the age of truth, loyalty and love has ended and that homeland and faith have become pretexts for theft; he laments the oppression of landlords over the peasant, while the cups of the rich are full of wine and those of the poor full of heart's blood, and at the end asks the caged nightingale to raise its lament.
