Examining Cohesion Elements in the Narrative Texts and Poems of Roshd Noamooz Magazine

This is an academic article examining the stories and poems published in the children's magazine Roshd Noamooz for their use of cohesive elements. Drawing on Halliday and Hassan's 1976 theory of cohesion, which holds that cohesive elements shape how readers understand and interpret a text, the study analyzes a sample of five stories and five poems selected randomly from the magazine. The research investigates whether these texts observe or fail to observe the semantic relationships that bind a text together and make it coherent.
