Sadegh Hedayat (1903-1951) was one of Iran’s most prolific post-modernist writers in the first half of the 20th century. He has often been called the “Iranian Kafka,” since many of his stories discuss surrealist themes, dealing with existential angst and nightmarish situations. صادق هدایت (۱۹۰۳-۱۹۵۱) از برجسته‌ترین نویسندگان ایرانی نیمه اول قرن بیستم است که آثارش با مضامین سوررئالیستی، اضطراب وجودی و موقعیت‌های کابوس‌وار شناخته می‌شوند. این مطلب وبلاگی به معرفی مهم‌ترین آثار هدایت می‌پردازد؛ از جمله بوف کور که در ۱۹۳۷ منتشر شد و شاهکار اصلی او به شمار می‌رود، و داش آکل که به فیلم تبدیل شده و جایگاه ویژه‌ای در فرهنگ عامه ایران دارد. هدایت را اغلب «کافکای ایران» نامیده‌اند.
