این پژوهش در دو بخش تنظیم شده است. بخش نخست مروری است بر نظریههای فمینیستی تفاوت، و بخش دوم به تحلیل متنی شعرهایی میپردازد که زنانی از هند، کارائیب و آفریقا دربارهی «مادری» سرودهاند. موضوع مادری پیش از این بیشتر در نقد ادبی مربوط به متون داستانی بررسی شده بود و این اثر کوشش میکند همین مفهوم را در متون غنایی واکاوی کند. نقطهی عزیمت نظری پژوهش، توجه فمینیسم به تفاوت از اواخر دههی ۱۹۷۰ به این سو است.
This study consists of two parts. The first part offers an overview of feminism’s theory of differences. The second part deals with the textual analysis of poems about ‘mothering’ by women from India, the Caribbean and Africa. Literary criticism has dealt with the representation of ‘mothering’ in prose texts. The exploration of lyrical texts has not yet come.
